The Giver, By Lois Lowry

Sounds boring, right? That's what I thought when I saw the title, and I prepared myself to be bored.

Not so much.

The Giver is about a young boy who lives in a world without color, free thinking, or pain. Then he is selected for a task that he didn't know existed.

He learns that his black-and-white world is not as perfect as he thought.

He learns that his young friend is slotted for execution.

He learns that he will do anything for love.

But seriously, read it. It's good.

Its the book that just keeps giving.
