Septimus Heap is a really good Harry Potter-ish series. In my honest opinion, it is better than Harry Potter. There is more depth to the characters, more detail, a better storyline.

Angie Sage has taken the typical boy-meets-magic to a whole new level. After Magyk, there is Flyte, Phisik, Queste, Syren, Darke, and Fyre. It is an epic for the ages.

It starts out in typical mystery form, but quickly twists to fantasy. I personally felt an uplift when I read it, because the way their family sticks together is so heartwarming. It reminds you of how much love can do.
